LOL I loved getting hot cars on the weeks schedule and have to "test drive them" I miss working in the old shop sometimes but i will never lose my love for cars I may be new to actually getting in the car and drag racing but my dad's raced off and on since i was a kid. i am getting little older now and thought if i dont start racing now then when. Glad to see your going all motor I want to stay that way too but its awlful tempting to get that bottle fed easy HP

What gears are you running? Nice times...Also what engine mods have you done? Got a timeslip, love to see the mph in the 1/8 as well. Thinking we may have similar power. I ran w/ the same 235/60/15 MT ET streets and only managed a 1.99 60ft.. I got stock 3.27's though and it was first time out w/ this vehicle. I'd love to cut some 1.7-1.8x 60's times..

^This! Especially 2stepping 6k rpm with boost built up. The sudden surge of torque when you drop the clutch is an adrenaline rush.

It's called a 2 step cause it is a 2 stage rev limiter. You can sit at the line with the clutch disengaged, push gas to the floor, and the 2step will hold it at whatever rpm you set it at (mine's at 5500rpm currently) with max engine load. This builds up power at the line. As soon as you drop the clutch and the car sees .5mph, it switchs off the 2step and goes back to its normal rev limiter (7300rpm for me). This works really well with turbo'd cars as holding the rev limiter with max engine load will build up boost and already get the turbo spooled just sitting there so once the tree drops, just drop the clutch, the turbo is already spooled, and you move TFO!

Here's a short video of my Focus 2 steping. Ignore the rattle in the video, had a loose heat shield.
