old school or new school I'll take a 5.0 over a 4.6

I do want to qualify my statements by saying that although my serious cars were oldsmobiles before the white car I have now, I've had 3 5.0's over the years (first one in 86') & not one of them got out of the 13's with just bolt ons.

don't take my comments as bashing pushrod motors in general or 5.0's in particular, just stating realworld facts from my own experiance not from what I've read on the internet or saw someone else do.

and believe me i'm not knocking a 4.6...i have one sitting outside..however after adding a few bolt ons and taking it to the track...then seeing how much better a 5.0 preforms...i saw that without full bolt ons and a great suspension i could never get the types of runs im interested in...and thanks to F8L i know what a 4.6 is capable of w/o a power adder...since you seem to like 4.6's so much i'd be willing to sell mine to you.
not hardly. my buddy has a bolt on bullit, stock heads, intakes, etc. running 7.80s. it would take an older 5.0 more than that, imo, to get it running past that. another buddy has a built 306 in his fox with heads and everything and runs in the 7.80s without the nitrous. im not bashing the 5.0s at all though.
