ur launch, DO NOT rev up to 2500 and dump the clutch, ur gunna spin horribly! look at my video, i rev to about 2k and roll out of the throttle, feathering the gas, u can actually see where i backed off the throttle to stop the spinning, and yes i did spin off the line, just the nature of street tires, ur gunna spin no matter wat if u try to launch above idle, and launching at 1000-1500 ur gunna most likely bog down, which i have found out slows my 60ft times, but thats me, just if u feel it starting to spin feather the throttle, back off a little and go back on throttle. street tires SUCK, i havent found a 'sweet spot' for street tires, and i dont think there is one. get a few practice runs before yall have yalls race. youll learn the feel of it a little better

One thing no one has asked. Is your moms car an auto or stick? I assumed it was an auto but you never know. Odds are really against her being she has a vert and im gonna assume an auto. Before I added the nitrous I ran an 07 GT coupe with a maual trans four times at a drag strip. He red lighted every time we ran and my reaction times weren't spectacular either. I beat him everytime having to play catch up and I only have a few bolt ons. He had an intake, exhaust and a tune with stock gears.

Dang. Wasn't expecting that answer.
Well it really depends on how well you two can drive then but im still giving the advantage to you. Even with your suspension being setup for the twisties. As for the guy I raced im not sure. I know everyone that night was running slower then usual, due too the hot air but he was running fairly consistent everytime we raced. He was only jumping out about a car length on me when we raced and I would pull ahead by about a bumper every time. Our times were within hundreths of a second of each other. Thats why we keep racing, cause our cars were the closest match out of the other cars there that night.

would slip the clutch out at about 4k with the 245's and about 4500 with the 315's...burnout didn't do any good with the fusions but the sumi's simply wouldn't hook without a burnout. first time at the track with the sumi's i just spun them over and cut 2.1 sixty foots...then tried heating them up despite what i had heard about a burnout with street tires and they hooked so good that i bogged...using the same launch rpm
