my spark plugs worked loose

At the strip this past weekend my car was running 6 tenths off. I just thought it was bad stick shift driving by me but after my loss i turned in the pit and was like this cant all be me. low and behold my 1st plug on the drivers side was hanging in by a thread or 2. tightened it back up drove it home then ck all of them 5 were loose 3 had blow by. im aware of the head issues on these motors but wow. tighten all the plugs up. they seem ok. its hard telling how long they have been that way. do u guys think i could have impending engine damage. it seems to run ok now. im going to replace the plugs and coil boots with OEM it had bosch 3 patinum 2 in it so obviously the previous owner change plugs

not much you can really do at this point, just replace the plugs (make absolutely shure you torque them to spec, 15 ftlb's I think but look it up) & boots & hope for the best.

as to any damage to the heads, you'll have to wait & see on that.

yeah, i think its 15 flbs i will find out what proper spec is. im just a little freaked out right now had a good first year of racing and i hope its not gonna end cause of the last owner not torqing the plugs properly.

the worst thing thats gonna happen is you'll have to buy a time-sert kit & fix the holes.

That would be great. ive been reading on google. typing in "loose spark plugs" and a few sites said that catastrophic engine failure would most likely occur if plugs were loose do to elevated temperature or some crap like that. so i was thinking being a drag racer would have even more stress on the engine launching at 5k. ill find out i guess
