going to the track for the first time blown!
Im going to the track tonight! its only 1/8th mile.
Two weeks ago (for the second time ever going to the track!) I ran a 9.04 with a 60' time of 2.13. that was my PB. i know its not very good at all, but a not very experienced yet. That run was with CAI, Long tubes, Prochamber, MGW shifter, 3.73 rear gear, H&R lowering springs, Handheld tuner with a 91 race tune from BAMA performance, udps, and Nitto NT05 295/35/18 rears. NOW i have all of the above (minus the udps) plus: procharger p1sc 3.4 pulley cxracing 3 core i/c svt fuel pump w/ boost-a-pump 42lb injectors NGK tr6 sparkplugs PMAS MAF I just had it tuned yesterday at 386whp and 392tq! that’s at 10.7 lbs of boost at 6100 RPM What kind of numbers should i be shooting for tonight? I’d like to know kind of what to expect. it’s nice to have a goal to shoot for! and is there anything i should know before taking a boosted car down the track for the first time? anything special that i should do that i wouldn’t have done NA? Remember its 1/8th mile!

Those tires are gonna get blown right off. lol
You should aim for high 12's, and if you don't get there who cares have fun. Practice makes perfect!

I'm going to predict 8.5's. With a good set of MT drag radials you would probably be about 7.9 or so.

Nto5's or nto5r's? And what kind of trans am? Ls1 or lt1? My TA runs a 7.55@91 1/8 h/c/i. Your car technically should have a higher trap as mine is only making around 360rwhp. But I highly doubt you can pull of mid 1.5 60fts on those tires. You should hope for a 1.99 60ft and a 114-116 trap depending on you altitude and the da's.

the trans am was a lt1 and it was on street tires. and i have NT05s NOT the dr version
well sadly my fastest run was a 8.70 with a trap of 86mph and a 60' of 2.275. my best 60' was my first one at 2.0 but i missed second on that run which really pissed me off cuz i couldnt get near that 60' time again all night!!this track is shit btw they are gonna close it down after this season because they cant afford to keep it open anymore. on a side note i beat a: right side drive skyline, a Z28, a 95 cobra, and a Mach 1. the mach 1 was on MT DR and still couldnt hook for shit out there. but my MPH did increase by 10! i really wanna go to a better track but the closest besides this one is like 2-3 hours away! ![]() everyone i talked to out there said the more power you make the slower you'll run due to the track conditions. yes that was a lil exageration. but just gives a lil idea of what im working with here! nevertheless it was fun!! ima get some LCAs and FLSFC and try again in a couple weeks. hopefully ill get em on there before the end of the season.

Not bad considering the bad track conditions. I expected a little more mph than that but still good none the less.

I would have guessed that you'd have MPH'd better with 380rwhp. Traction is key for anyone who wants to drag race. That's the first thing I started on, and it has paid off dividends for me.

Not bad man. My trap speed in the 1/8 is like 86-87mph in the summer. In the cooler weather its about 90-92mph. Then my 1/4 trap is like anywhere from 108-112mph. In the cooler weather its around 115-117mph. The warm weather kills these cars with boost. I lose so much timing up top.
Try going again in the Fall. Get some better tires. Nitto NT555Rs seem to work great for me. I do a long 2nd gear burnout, and I can get low 1.9's consistent, with some 1.8's. When I go back in the Fall, Ill have MT ET streets, my N2MB WOT Box, hoping for mid 7's in the 1/8 and high 11's in the 1/4.

It's not just timing the added heat in the air just makes it worse. And heatsoak becomes a huge issue.

Definatley, plus hot air doesnt compress as well. I cant wait to get up there in September and October. Another reason why I want to add AIS Meth kit.

Meth will still help while it's cooler out. Yeah I'm hoping it cools off soon too. I have yet to go to the track in the 06 and it not be 85-105* outside. I figure it pulled 105 in that much heat maybe I can get it around 107 in 60* weather. I also hope to have my SRT done as well so I can run it while it's cooler too. It trapped 113.55 in 90* heat I can't imagen what that thing will do while it's cool out. Make sure you give everybody a heads up before you go Shaun and try to get some vids. I'm gonna try to remember my camara next time out.

Will do man. Im anxious to get up there, but I just dont see the point until its cooler out. The other night was nice out, like 65 and cool, got on it on the highway and it pulled hard. Felt really really good. I wish I got a speedo vid, but I have this from a week or so ago, not as cool but decent weather:
What do you have done to the SRT4? How much power? Seems like it rolls

It's an overpowered go kart lmao. It's a blast to drive. It makes it better when a cocky v8 owner laughs and says it has no chance then the look on their face when I blow their doors clean off. It's got an agp cai, agp hard ic pipes, ported stock tb, walboro 255 pump, 750cc injectors, 3" tbe, msd wires, cca bfmic, mpx udp's, spec stage 3 clutch, fidanza aluminum flywheel, mopar 3 bar map/tip sensors, diablo tuner and a hahn 20g turbo(bigger than stock but smaller than a 50trim). Soon to have a bell mouth put on the 20g along with some suspension mods and dr's. Still stock heads and "stock" cams. It's problem is getting traction. I've never had anything other than street tires on it for fear of snapping an axle. But that 113.55 was only a 13.42 with a garbage slow 2.37 60ft. I hope the new mods take car of that and it runs low 12's on dr's.

Very nice man. Definatley keep me posted on how it runs. Im really curious. I actually talked my buddy into getting an SRT4. He was car shopping and wanted something quick that was decent on gas mileage. I instantly thought SRT4. I was actually debating getting one before the Mustang.
I hope he does some shit to it. I really like those cars. How much power did yours make?
