The Super Pro cutoff at the local 1/8th mile track is 7.99, still not fast enough. Pro has an 8.99 cutoff so I do run that occasionally and do get against the 5 second door cars pretty often. It's pretty funny when you're about 1/2 way down the track and your win light suddenly come on. lol.

lol Nice. I wish we had more bracket classes. We only have footbrake and super pro. Basically, the only rules are that you can't have a transbrake or delay box in footbrake. Other than that, anything goes.

Wow! Just Super Pro and Footbrake? My home track, Quaker City, on Friday nights has Box/No Box with bikes and Jr's as well. Saturday we have Bikes, Jr's, Street, Street Trophy, Mod, and Top. I usually run Mod and Street.

The 1/8th mile track, on a normal race day has Footbrake, Pro and Super Pro. I'll usually enter Footbrake and Pro. For Special events they run Box/No Box.

Yeah. Friday nights are test and tune. Saturday, we have jrs, footbrake and super pro. About once or twice a month, they'll have some sort of heads up or index racing. That's pretty standard for this area...I don't think there are any close tracks that run more than two bracket classes.

That amazes me. So if you have a trans brake but no box you have to run Super Pro against cars with boxes?

Yep. There are very few cars here with brakes and no box, though. Every track in this area is pretty much the same way, so everyone with a brake runs a box for the most part.

I find it interesting how different parts of the country prefer different kinds of drag racing.
