Going to "DA GROVE" tonight

im going to be shooting for a 12.5 or as close as i can get to that

current mods
long tube, off road x
100 shot
nitt0 555rs
31 spline 373s
tri axe
75mm throtle bodya nd plenum
adjustble strage rears
solid uppers and lowers
no front sway bar

hope fully i can get the thing to hook
and little other things
best to date is a 12.9 at 110 2.0 60

wish me luck

Getting it to hook is going to be your issue. What is the weather looking like up there tonight? How is the track prep there usually? Do a long, smokey burnout with those 555Rs as they need to get hot to hook good. I think if you can pull off a 1.8 60ft, you'll be there.

the track prep is decent

my best was a 13.3 at 102 with a 1.8 60ft

also the after the tech guy checked me in we where checking all my plugs and what not and he walked over and tells me if i run in the 13s ill be doen for the night cause i have a vert?!

so then i make several runs between 13.3 and 13.5 lol and they say nothing, but i guess they would have been a little upset if i was spraying

Vert cars require a roll bar for 13.49 or faster per NHRA and IHRA rulebook. Also, anything 13.99 or faster requires a helmet.

It's not a cage, just a roll bar. They're barely $300 for a good one. They can bolt in and back out in 15 min. It's not the end of the world and you don't need a full 10 point Outlaw cage.

plus it looks BA with the top down

It has to have atleast a 5 point. And one of the bars has to be a door bar. But that is only required for the drivers side... you dont need one on the passengerside per the rules, but its stupid to not get both...

I was just talking to my buddy the other day.... but I was telling him how I am going to build a vert with a 25.3 moly chassis. Roll with the top down all the time, even at the track!
