first time running 1/8 mile

took my 01 gt auto to the track for the first time...best time was 9.4..ran a 9.4 twice and a 9.5 and 9.7...car only has k&n intake and slp exhaust...beat a civic hatch with slicks and swap motor...b20 or something...was really happy with that haha..over all im alright with it..if it would of gone over 10 i probably would of put the car for sale haha..i knew i should be in the 9's..guess i should start thinking about my next mod...

Your friend needs his lips stapled shut. Get 4.30 for your auto. You'll love them, and they will do much more for you in the 1/8th.

speaking of 1/8 mile, i just got home from the strip myself, 2000 v6 manual w/ cai, i have to work on my reaction time, but with a .62708 reaction time, i still ran a 10.36869 @ 71.34mph. so i could dip into the 9's with a better reaction time

a friend of mine has 4.10's in his auto and it is the perfect balance in an automatic car! his car is a daily driver and he has taken it to the track a couple times.

Actually man. Reaction time doesn't have anything to do with your ET. Time starts when you break the lights. Reaction time is just how long it took you to do that. You could actually sit there 2 minutes and still pull the same ET. If I'm explaining the clear.

To make your car a completely different beast you want to do 2 mods...
4.10 gears and a higher stall converter.

Look in my sig and see what I ran a few months ago.

Mine ran 9.19 completely stock. 8.59 with just a 75shot. A catback will take off another tenth, and a tune, DR's and gears will put me in the 7's.

thats about normal

i ran a 10.116 as my best with shitty traction...my track has the the burn out box just 4-5 feet from the starting line...actually it pretty much is at the line... and its impossible to avoid the water box

if i slip the clutch and my xcal2 actaully fuckin worked with out problems i could slip into 10flat/high 9s
also tires!!

i ordered a t-lok along with my turbo
when you get your gears get a t-lok as well
if i could launch with DRs i know i could pull some mid 9s with a properly working xcal2 tunes
