Take all the extra crap outta the car. Spare, jack and other unneeded garbage. It it a stick or auto? Sticky tires or regular street tires?

AOD cars are pigs, known fact. Get a stall convertor if you can afford, plus a gear change to 4.10's. If on regular street tires, avoid the water box and just spin the tires to clean them off on dry track surface. Burning them down does nothing but make them greasy and will spin even more.

When mine was stock save for a BBK CAI i ran a 14.7. Mine is an manual though, im sure having a slushbox for a tranny makes a difference. I would take all of the crap out of the back like these guys have said. Advance the timing to 12-14* is bout the best you can do since you are running street tires. Make sure to get ALL of the water off the tires when you go through the waterbox. Good luck and have some fun! You will be addicted after this day.

I ran a 14.9 with a stock AOD vert with 4.10's.Do the 1-d-1 shuffle to shave off a tenth or two.Start in first, then shift into drive, then quickly back down to first, hold that as long as you can then shift back to d.It called the AOD shuffle,if you cant understand what i typed google it for better description.
