I'm out of practice lately but hopefully next year I will be able to get back in practice. I used to be pretty good at guessing how much faster or slower the car would be once the sun went down. If the track stayed running the cars would keep getting faster. If they took a 10 minute break or longer the traction was lost and everyone slowed down. I have been sitting in line and someone broke down so they had to clean up the track I was 3rd up to go and noticed everyone running way over their dial so got out and wrote in a couple tenths. Nailed it. Probably just luck but you have to pay attention to it when bracket racing.
