my 1/4 mile progress

well just got back from cecil today I shouldnt even have ran cause it was that mandra event bs and I only got one pass in. My best before today was a 13.7@102mph. I went back with a dirtydog built 4r70w trans, 3800 10" stall and nitto 555r dr's, here is my new times, I should be better than this, but my burnout wasnt the greatest even though it did hook no prob. As well as im mad at myself cause I left at idle everyone told me I shoulda brought the rpm's up especially having a higher stall? you guys think I should be quicker? wonder what went wrong?? I left out too I am hearing some buzzing/something loose or broke type sound in the rear at 2-2.5krpm's so who knows if my gears are messed up I gotta get that checked out as well.

i wouldn't leave at idle.

i personally think you'll have better times footbraking the car to 2-2500K or as high as you can without spinning the tires. you'll just have to experiment some. i've found my best times come from stalling it as high as i can without spinning the tires which is just under 2500rpms

You need to flash the converter. Your ET seems about right for the trap.

You need to flash it with that converter but don't leave dead off idle. Keep the rpms up a little just not as high as you can get. .3 is actually dissapointing to me as every one I have ever test got at least .5 gain, .8 or more is possible.
I would try a few different things but somewhere between 900 and 1600 rpms should work best.

too dense? more dense is good. it means more molecules...its just more air...which is good.

thats why cars are slower in higher elevation where the air is less dense

Are you running it at night? If so its probably just the dew/moistire in the air making the track slicker after dark. Try running during the day

Seems traction is the issue.

Cold air = more power.
Cold track = less traction.
More power and less traction = slower ET.
