Last outing for the year

And the last run for the 'ol toploader. She gets retired now. This is still really only the third track outing for this engine. I'm pleased with what it did tonight.

1st pass

Then I missed second, got back into it, and the car got real squirly and I coasted out.

The car weighed in at 3460 race weight, and was on 91 octane. The clutch literally had smoke rolling out through the last 2 passes, but I was still banging gears with the ol toploader. It's still on stock leaf springs, and the plugs are fouled pretty bad. I was going to change them before I went today, but I got stuck with a broken airplane, so I didn't have time to.

I just bought a PA Supercomp C4, and a Chance converter. There's a good chance that the car will have a different cam next time out too

Good deal. I would like to see you race my friends 67 Fastback but know that would never happen.
