good day of racing

well today ended up going well even though it didnt start off too good...They were only running T/T inbetween the main events so i knew from the beggining i wasnt going to have many runs maybe 3-4..First run start my burnout and do a nice burnout and when i let off the linelock it doesnt let go, and competely locks my front brakes they hadda put me on dollys and roll my out, i thought i was done for the day i was pissed but they ended up having a new solonoid at the little pit shop. Fixed that in time for the last run. line lock works and i have a crappy launch, spin and got a 13.5 @ 118.. i was pissed

but my friend talked ot the official and he squeezed me in right after i pulled back from that run and i got right back on i was the last T/T of the day...figured id take it easy, didnt launch on the 2-step just rode the clutch out and hit all my shifts and...............11.99 @ 118 1.7 60 foot made me very happy, specially for my 2nd run ever down the track.. was a good way to end the long day.

11 second time slip! Your first one?

Glad you had fun. Your car has alot more left in it. The MPH looks good.

Looks like you have already learned the most important part of drag racing. Sometimes less is more..... Thats a pretty solid 60 foot. What tires?

NM just saw your running ET streets. Those are great tires. I would take a little out of them though. I run mine at 13lbs on my 67. My 60' times are always upper 1.50s to lower 1.60s

great times man, i would hit it a little harder out of the hole. for some a 1.7 sounds great but wait till you smash a 1.5 or less off that 2 step. its like getting shot out of a cannon. i really wish we had 1/4 mile by me, my car has such a strong big end im sure i would run great.

thanks guys..yeah i definatally plan on hitting it much harder out of the whole, but i just wanted to get a low 12 pass in and i knew if i just took it easy off the line and did everything else i would get the pass i wanted...now hopefully next time i can drop that down, specialy since i still had my spare tire and jack and my sub boxed in the trunk
