It still has a lot left in it. That was on crappy Nitto tires and the heavy 18's up front. Ordering slicks n skinnies soon and it should be in the 7.80-7.99 range on motor, and its a 5spd. F8L has like 265 WHP with a stock 2v 5spd with all the bolt on's and weight reduction and a faceplated trans and he has a best of like a 7.84 with 265whp. People don't understand, it takes more than just power to make a car fast at the track lol

Which transmission is in each car though? Rowing gears is a little tougher. I'm assuming the fox is an auto, but I realize I could be totally wrong.

I'd go Team Z. It seems a lot more difficult to get that baseline stuff to do work.

drag racing is more about suspension set up/driver mod than it is horsepower. it's how my 413 hp car ran an 8.6 lol.

While I somewhat agree, it's not always the case. My car has stock leaf springs, and stock front suspension, and it cuts consistent 1.5x 60's. It most commonly sees a 1.51, and this is at almost 3500 lbs. I was going to put a split mono leaf on it, but I'm afraid it'll do worse! Lol

I don't even know my HP. My car has never been on a dyno. It can't be over 300, it's NA, it is even running through the stock manifolds. My 60' times this weekend were 1.72 - 1.73. The 4.56 gears and 4000 rpm converter make a big difference.

The difference between horsepower and ET is the difference between having a fast car and having a quick car. Any Joe Schmoe can slap a supercharger on a car and make a lot of horsepower (I'm not knocking superchargers or guys who have one...I hope to have one someday as well), but it takes some thought to build a car well and make it run consistently quick times.

This is especially true in the 1/8 mile. In a full 1/4, your horsepower can mask some of your driver/traction problems, but in the 1/8 you don't have enough racetrack to make up for your lack of traction.

Yeah I need more seat time. My RT and 60' times were terrible. I couldn't get any traction at all most runs.
