A big burnout with street tires will only make them slick (i.e. Less grip). Just do a quick spin of the tires to clean off any debris, and stay clear of the water box. As others have stated, with the dr's, you should be at least close to the 12s.

As mentioned, do not burn a street tire. Dodge the water box, and then just clean them. The .1 off the 60' takes .2-.3 off the ET is in a perfect world. Most of the time you won't see it. If you get that down to a 1.9 or so, you'll probably see a 13.3 timeslip.

I saw about a .4 increase in my et with my 60' dropping from a 2.1-1.9 if I'm not mistaken. Time went from a 14.1-13.7. Obviously 60' is not the only factor though.
I think low 13s is a realistic time for your car with a decent 60' and more seat time.
My car has seen the track twice NA and once as it sits now. Everytime you go you just know you can do better. Haha

Sure it can happen, but it's not a reliable rule of thumb. I ran my car on my BFG radial T/As one time, just for fun. It went 11.95 on a 2.1 60'. It normally goes 11.40s on a 1.5 60' on real tires, so I take .6 off of my 60', and only .5 off of my ET...

That's crazy. I would expect atleast a little more gain than that. I hear what you are saying though.

Yeah, you just never know. Every car will react differently.

Yeah thats what I did last time. I wasn't sure if a burnout would help or hurt so I just spun them a bit and I dodged the water box too since I figure wet tires defintely wasn't going to help.
Is there a certain rpm that's reletively good to launch at? I basically just dumped the clutch and floored it last time which is why my 60 looked like complete crap

You just have to find what works for you and your car. Seat time is what it's all about, and that's what fun about it. T&T is all about challenging yourself to improve, and not worrying about the car next to you. It's sooooo addictive.

Haha yeah I have only gone a few times, but when I do go I love trying to beat my last times and the adrenaline rush is awesome. I already bought a helmet so I'm just waiting for a decent day to get back out there, It's been raining the past few weeks unfortunetly.

Man I wish our track were open. Hopefully my car will be up and going in a week or two. I'm going to have to go to the airport late, and make some hits with pimp juice to see how my car likes its new toys.

Just make a trip down here to good ole' Texas ! haha. I'd love to see your car in person, I think it's badass you actually drive your car instead of it sitting locked up in a garage somewhere.

The track I like going to is supposed to have a big race on New Years Day, i'm gonna try to make that trip. It just sucks that it's 2 hours away.
