That is not a bad time for mods listed. You will probably run about 13.30-13.60 in the 1/4. I would focus on getting that 60'' time down, and you will see a big improvement. It all depends on what he has done to the 03 SS, those are pretty quick cars, and respond really well to bolt ons.

i agree thats a pretty good time although a lower sixty foot would help a ton...your mph does seem a little low though.
your buddy doesn't have an 03 ss though because they stopped camaros in 02 ![]() if you meant 02, then you may have a chance. i've seen them run anywhere from 8.2x to 9.2x in the 1/8th mile. i'd say the average for a ls1 on street tires would be mid 8's so i think you have a chance. last stock ss i saw at the track was running 8.6's i believe. or 8.4. can't remember.

8.53 @ 77 mph with a 2.2 60'? You sure it was a full 1/8 and not a 600' track? To get that kind of time, you generally need either more speed or better traction.
For comparison, I have a timeslip in front of me where i ran 8.59 @ 81.64 mph with a 1.89 60'. So my 60' AND mph were better than yours with a slower ET? Something doesn't add up here.

I have another (even older) timeslip that looks like this:
Code:
60' 1.996 330' 5.747 1/8 8.835 MPH 79.65 I really think your track is 600' and they just haven't re-calibrated their timing equipment to show it on the slips. There is a track around here (Pickwick Dragway) that is the same way. All the street guys who run there don't know any better and they think they're running a full 1/8. In reality, they go anywhere else and they're 3 or 4 tenths slower.

Yea that makes sense next time I go back I'll ask them and hopefully I'll get a chance here soon to go to a 1/4 mile track

Let us know what you find out and what your times are if you get to run in the 1/4. If the track is 600', that would still put you in the high 8s in a full 1/8 which is pretty good for street tires and your first time at the track.

8.53 with a 2.2 60 foot with what bolt on's you have does not add up for the 1/8th mile......... BUUUUT if you really went that fast on street tires that doing very good.
