Hi

my first track pass in the new 5.0. I struggled with the shifter and traction. I wasn't expecting the car to break traction so easily with the factory 3.31 gears.
I kept missing the 2-3rd shifts, and only managed two clean runs that night.

Tires were MT ET Street radials 245/40R18

the only mod was Steeda comp springs.

Seen them do 12.2 on stock tires with just shocks, springs, Lca's and a tune doing 115mph.

You are going to have a lot of fun with that machine, keep us posted.

they never are but no-one ever says "close to stcok" or "kinda stock" for whatever reason.

it's been a problem with mustang guys since back in the original 5.0 days.

must of the claim to be stock videos I've seen either have CAI/tune, or drag wheels and slicks.

and one "leading tuning company" didn't even bother to mention an aftermarket shifter. The stock shifter was making me nervous all that night. I think I did 7 passes, five of them had 1-2 and 3-4 miss-shifts.

there is a possibility that I will test the shifter alone, tune alone, then add the Steeda CAI.

Do the shifter, then the CAI/tune...If you did the CAI you would need a tune anyway. No point in making your car run worse just to put an intake on.

we put everything and did few passes yesterday, but we couldn't get much with the clutch sticking during the burnouts and shifts.

we ran best of 12.155 @ 117.37

we will replace the clutch and see how it goes

my best 1/8 trap was 92mph with the intake, tune, shifter, mufflers delete, and MT street radials.

this is of course with sticking clutch and bad driving
