New Best Time

When I started out this year I was running low 15's which sucks for what I had done to my car.

Last night in the 3rd round of eliminations I brokeout ( bad ) with a 14.19 (good ) I was running 14.3's most of the night. My dial in was 14.3 , I never knew losing would feel so good. I have been making minor adjusts every Saturday and I have been gaining a tenth every week.

I have a rebuilt 5.0 with a mild cam, 9inch rear with 4.11's ,Mac Headers, with some work done to the top end but I still have the stock heads which are crap. I am probably making 250 horse at the wheels ( just a guess ) 14.19 not bad for a little Ford.

Needs a bit of paint, as soon I get into the low 13's I will divert money to the paint fund.

Since I posted this I have gotten into the 13.9's. My newest best time is 13.92 at 96.17 mph

60ft - 1.82
660ft - 8.81 at 77.23

I did.

I needed to buy adjustable upper control arms because the geometry was way off and caused a nasty vibration.

4.11s 31 spline axles by Strange Engineering. I also did the the rear disc and 5 lug conversion with that too.

Question... is the vibration happening when you would get on it then let out of the gas... and as it slowed down did it vibrate then. My friend fput a 9 inch in his trans am and it vibrates when he lets out.

Sorry for not returning you post. I haven't check back in a while.

It vibrated when I let off the gas. Apparently the 9" change the pinion angle. You should have no more them 3 degrees of pinion angle. I had about 8 degrees. Plus when you let of the gas the angle gets worse.
