The ass being all over the place is because they are wrinkle wall tires. 15lbs. is where you should start with tire pressure. It's an uneasy feeling to be speeding down the track and the back tires "walking" all over the place but that's how it's supposed to be. You already said they hook hard and that should be even better on a prepped track.

Start at 15 and adjust from there.

I would start around 16-17 psi. Maybe even a bit more if it has been a while since you were on slicks. I remember the first several times I was on slicks, it can be a little unnerving. With that much tire, you are going to get some walking action. The best thing to do is once you apply the power, don't let off of it since that is when the tire wants to sit back down again. Power shift if you can. How much gear are you running with those 28s?

3.55s? Not much gear for that much tire unless you are FI. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Good luck with that. Hope that 7.5 holds together

The juice should really get you going. Get those slicks heated good and you should have some really good short times.
