Went back to the track

2002 mustang gt 5 speed

Mods-cai, flowmaster mufflers
Previous trip out resulted in a 15.2@96mph with a 2.6 60ft. This was after having the car for about 2 weeks. This is my first 5 speed car ever.

New time..60' 2.2
1/4' 14.7@96mph with around a 90 degree track temp here in orlando. I'm happy with the improvement but i guess it could still be better even though i did shift hard and smooth.
I was gonna post the whole slip but my girl threw it out. I asked her why and she said "why would u wanna keep that" ugh.. Let me know i how i compare to any basically stock gts out there

i would say that is a decent time , with a little more seat time you could probably bring it down a little more but i dont think you are gonna do much better...

you've improved since last time so kudos to you. Practice makes perfect. What were your r/t's if you still remember? That could give you another tenth or two but still nice times.

yeah weems i kinda feel the same..i'm thinkin 14.5 is the best i can get until it gets cooler outside or i get some mods. Hopefully the mods come first

And i'm pretty sure reaction time has nothing to do with your overall time. You could have a 5 second reaction time and still run the same time as .500 reaction. The clock does not start till u leave the line.

You just need some good track tires. You're 60' is what is killing you. If you were to get that down just .2 seconds your 1/4 time will drop about 4 tenths. With some drag radials if you could cut a 1.9-1.8 60' time your 1/4 should be a very low 14.xx, and that's where you should be.

Your 60 foot blows. Def looks like you gave the tires a good spin. Low 14's are def possible. Orlando? Was it orlando speedworld?
