New Track Times.

10/8/07 @ Norwalk. Ohio. It was a 90Degree in the sun all day with no wind.

Mods: 2.5 O/R X-pipe and catback, UDP, Pro 5.0 Short shifter, CIA, and a Diablo Preator tune.

My best time was:

R/T..... .739
60....... 2.136
1/4...... 13.74
MPH..... 101.35

On street tires....Looks like it is time for drag radials.

Anyone selling 2 Rims and/or 2 Drag Tires? Or ideas on what to get.

Also my 4th run at the track ever....Also should I be running faster with my mods?

those are very good times for those mods. especially with a 2.1 60ft. time. do you still have stock gears?

Yea....The car has stock gears. I am passing the 1/4 Line right at the end of 3rd gear. I never even shift into 4th. I think that is a sign...that some 3.73 or 4.10's are on the way soon.

I also dont know much about the diablo tuner...Might i get more power by changing some peramiters?

I was running 13.7's and 13.8's all day long. I joined a track rental with my local fourm. I got around 12 passes in that day.

I agree with the other respones! Very impressive for a hot day, stock gears, street tires, and just a handfull of bolt-ons! 4.10s and a set of drag radials and you can see low 13's!

I'm thinking I can hit 13.5xx with just DR and a nice launch. Because my 60FT is still kinda high. And my Street tires kinda look like slicks right now But I have no idea what the gear could give me. As far as lower times.

Speaking of DR's What is the best bang for the buck.

I WANT 12's So bad....And dont want to spend alot of money....

Oh well...NEXT SUMMER.

MT DRs....No questions asked...I love em! If you plan on driving them on the street, expect them to only last 3-4k miles, theyre soft as hell

I want a seprate set of matching rims to put the DR on. That way I can Prop the ass up and bolt them bitches on and be good to go. But sometimes get lazy and may wanna use them on the street for a few runs...

i have never even looked into DR untill now. How long do they usally last. like how many run down a track? I dont want to buy a pair and use them 2 time and have to buy new ones.

Those are dang good tires. The M/T that twok3gt suggested will give you better performance, but they cost a little more.

If you want bang for the buck than the 555R are the way to go. I don't think you'll find a true DR for cheaper.

They may not perform as well as the others, but they still will outperform any 'traditional' street tire out there. Just remember to heat them up with a nice burn out befor any race (street or strip)

Yes do a tuner was your question... great results.....depending on where your from depends on a tune in a can....but still good.......I stepped up to a 93 octane tune and was thrilled with what I got out of it........So if you are running lower than 93 or what ever you get in your area than dang!

Great times though man!!! very good!

I have a diablo tuner. I will only put 93/94 Octane in the car. My question was what parameiters would i modify to make more power, but with in the tune?
