Track Tomorrow night (10/16/07)

Ok well last time i went to the track, the best i got was an 14.4 lol. Dont kill me for it. It was 4 weeks after i got my car and I was still getting used to it. Also, every time i launched i spen the shit outta the rears.

Ok well now i've done my share of practice on launching and i have it nailed. What i do is rev it to 1500 rpm and drop the clutch, it bogs a bit but it barely spins. I like bogging it better than feathering b/c my clutch wont last long if i feather to much more.

Ok looking at my mods in my sig, bogging the motor, and w/o powershifting, just really fast good shifting, great weather (70 degrees 5% humidity)... what do you think i have the potential of running? 13's?

i think your good for a REALLY low 14 or REALLY high 13.

If you bog the first time down the track ride the clutch on the second pass. You should break high 13's with those weather conditions. Good luck.

o damn... actually yeah.. i have an amp, 12'' alpine type r and the spare tire still.... but i'm taking it all out.

Yeah. My 60' lacks b/c my launch SUCKS!!!! i'm the only dude out there with street tires lol. Everyone has DR's so they just drop their clutch, i gotta either bog or feather and i'd rather not feather though b/c my clutch will suffer in the future.

Also, i had 38lb rims in the back and 34lb rims in the front + a 12'' alpine type r in a sealed box w/ an amp, and the spare tire in.... so thats over 100lbs of unnecessary shit in there.

As soon as i get my stock rims put on, i'm going nitto dr's in the back and i'm sure i can easily get into the 13's... its all in my launch fellas... it SUCKS

Heres My worst run against the fastest "legal" camaro i've ever seen!!! it ran a 9 sumthing. The Maro had a 454 w/ straight pipes. Its so loud u cant even hear my car lol

Heres a better run against a firebird. As soon as i hit 3rd (which i even messed up on, i didnt ram it hard enough so it was in neurtal lol then i had to push it back in 3rd) i pulled on his ass soooo hard.

Congrats on breaking 13's.

I know what you mean bout sitting at the line and your opponents engine is so loud that you cant even tell your cars running. That gets me sometimes too when Im lined up at the tree and Im trying to feather the clutch but my clutch pedal is vibrating too. Thats why if it aint too busy I usually ask to line up by myself so I can get some decent runs in.

if you will only be using those stock rims for the track i would skip the DR's and get some Mickey Thompson ET streets. still technically street legal, but i wouldn't use them. they will stick like glue for you at the track though. they dropped my ET by 7 tenths. with them i drop the clutch at 5 grand

HOLY SHIT! 7/10's! I would kill for just half a second lol. I'll most def look into that. idk if i'll be dropping them at 5k though lol... i still have the 28spline rear end, and i dont have any money to be rebuild it to a 31 yet.

Maybe 3 to 3.5k. I just need something to get me outta the box w/o spinning.

People have put the 275/40-17 MT ET streets on the 05+ wheel which is 17x8 so it will fit.
