What times could I expect in the 1/4

So I am ready to get my nitrous installed and tuned and get to the track A.S.A.P.! I haven't ran on a 1/4 mile track yet but my best to date 1/8th mile is 8.64 @ 84mph. Not exactly impresive but I was wondering with a correctly tuned car and 150 shot what times could I expect out of the 1/4?

youll be fine with the 150 shot. if youve got a manuel tranny, youve got a forged engine. if its tuned correctly, and some other mods, i think you could see some low 12 maybe a high 9 if you can hook up

What kind of car? I'm assuming an 03 Cobra? Supercharged? With 150 horsepower nitrous it will go high 10s on a slick all day.

i thought the whole motor on the manuel machs was forged. i may be worng. but yeah forgot this guy does have the cobra s/c on his car, so im thinking the 150 shot may be to much. you might be wise to stick with a simple 100 shot

Yeah its only the crank...I would stick with a 100 shot...But be very leary of lean spikes...Like a told me you might want to look into installing a Fuel Accumulator so that you dont get the lean spkie when the spray initiates...

The crank is the only forged part of the Mach engine. Many guys are running 100 shot without any problems. Several guys on the mach1registry are running 150 and 175 shots but they have upgraded their fuel systems and had them tuned. Phil on the registry has gone 10.96 @ 124.89 on a 175 of juice. I believe he was in the 11.60s-11.70s on a 125 shot.

I would say go with the 100 shot...See how you like that and if you think you want to bump it up then do it...

It's an 03 Mach 1. I have a tune already for n/a so I am sure I will need to be retuned for the nitrous. Besides the gears and tune it's only got an intake tube to clean up the engine. stock MAF and throttle body, stock spark plugs. I have heard that it is a really good idea to upgrade the spark plugs. any suggestions on what brands and which ones?

and yeah only the crank is forged in the manual Mach's
