ET Street vs. Radial

I have The Mickey Thompson Drag Radial on my 88 GT. I was wondering what would be better for my trip to the strip on Sunday's the ET Street or The Drag Radial? The car is a stick with my best 60' et is 1.86 spinning I want the car hook for 2008 race season! Any suggestion are appreciated!

The ET street is going to get you better short times for sure. Just be prepared for a "loose" feeling at the big end of the track.

Are we talking about the same ET street here? For drag strip purposes how can a radial tire out performe a wrinkle wall slick?

+1 the wrinkle wall will take a lot of shock that a radial wont. they stick better and give a better contact patch than a radial can.

Now I've never driven on a wrinkle wall tire before, but from what I've heard it's almost like driving on ice. Just a little unstable at higher speeds because of the weaker side walls. You haven't felt anything like that before?

my car would get a little wiggly at the end of the track with them. i took off the front sway bar, and it totally went away. a friend put them on his mach, and he had no problems what so ever.

I run the ET street bias plies, I also was having issues with the car gettin loose at the top end, I just aired the tires up some more and it cured it. It also didt hurt my 60' I run consistent high 1.6's and low 1.7's with about 20lbs of air in them.
