Here is my best time so far with my '91 LX 5.0 hatch... Iv got Flow 40's, O/R H pipe, K&N panel filter, subframe connectors and a strut tower brace. For this run I had a borrowed set of Nitto 555R's (275 wide) on 17s and I took off the front sway bar. Im not sure what the temp was but it was a warm, dry evening. My car weighed roughly 3300 lbs:

R/T .336
60' 2.225
330' ---
1/8 9.513
MPH 75.01
1000' 10.533
1/4 14.674
MPH 95.95

reaction time: 0.087
60 foot: 1.592
time: 6.764
mph: 104.31

This was runing 27lbs of boost on 93 pump gas and Straight Methanol Injection with a Precision PT70GTQ turbo. with low timing..

SOLD! moving onto a mustang next...

my time is under my av.

that was when I first got the car, and all that was done was a short throw shifter, off road h pipe, and the backseats/spare tire removed. I had toyo proxes 275 on the back, @ about 30psi

Yes the 1/8th! and in the 1/4 that was a 10.53 pass..

Nice car you got! Did you ever think about a running a progressive methanol kit like i was using? I think you would see 400rwhp with it and the boost turned up and still run 93 pump gas!!!

Im considering it but not anytime soon
maybe during the summer while im building my motor. water/meth and like 14psi just to see what it'd run at the track.
i'd like to take the car to mid 11s before i throw in the built motor. if i can.

>>> water/meth
<< I would go with straight Methanol if I were you and here's why, regaurdless of what snow perf. or anyone else thinks.

Water boiling point = 212* F / Octane rating- 0
Windshield fluid 50/50 mix = Boiling point-180*F / Flash point-82*F / Octane rating-61.5
Straight Methanol = Boiling point- 147*F / Flash point-51*F / Octane rating-123

You can do what you like, but I have true results with numbers using straight methanol.. It doesn't meen you HAVE to run it to the ragged edge. it can also be used mildly too.

Look at your windshield washer fluid resivior and I'm sure you will see the blue flacky crud all around it. Do you really want that in your engine, Pump, and lines? I sure don't.

03 cobra: street tires, heavy duty clutch, bassani x pipe w/two high flow cats, flow super 40's, cai
track: los angeles county raceway. 5100 ft. above sea level. i dont remember the humidity or temperature. it was cool outside though with light breezes.
my 60ft. was 1.8. my et was 13.2 and i think my mph was 109. that et coverted out to a 12.8 at sea level with the track's elevation correction formula.
well i looked it up. I thought that it was no way in hell that LACR was 5100 ft. and its actually, 2710.

winsheild washer fluid is not the only thing that is able to be ran through the system. you can go to a chemical place and get strait methanol and mix your own. regaurdless what you may have seen and have heard, there are reasons that you dilute it, and why its recommended.

The reason they want you to dilute it is because there pumps won't handle straight meth!! Do me a favor please and show me some fast mid 10sec street cars running 50/50 mix. I see in your sig you went 12's. I have went 10.53 with a full interior 3780lb daily driven street car. On 93 pumpgas & straight methanol injection!!! It flat out works!

i never said it dont work dipshit. ooohhh you went 10.53, i dont give a damn. i went 12.17 on a busted up trans. it would of went 11's if circumstances were better. i am still on stock bottom end, fully dressed around 3400lbs or so on stock suspension. i really dont care, i will be high 9's low 10's when ever i finish my car. it will be low 11's maybe even mid 10's next year. and yes, it will be daily driven if i want to. i rather drive my truck, i like it better. fuckin newbie, dont be comming in here and starting shit with other members just because you think you know it all. people will give you respect, but you have to give it first. this is a forum, everyone needs to have an open mind to learn, and to help others that want to learn.

Well someone pissed in your wheaties! I never started shit with any members!!!! No need for the name calling at all. And Just because i'm new to THIS forum doesn't mean I do not know what I'm talking about!!! I wasn't bashing you at all, Just pointing out what iv'e already done in my last car. it was also a full interior 3780lb car but you don't give a shit. I just posted my times in here and look where it's gone now! You don't have to get all huffy cause I mentioned your car went 12's. I KNOW methanol injection and if anyone would like to learn the benifits over the 50/50 mix I am glad to help them out and Iv'e already gotten several PM's reguarding it. All i asked for was to show me some cars going mid 10's to high 9's using 50/50 mix! not to be cocky, but for true results that I'm intrested in. Have a nice day!

FYI: I done that with stock block, stock crank, stock rods, stock intake on a little 3.8 liter V6!!

lot of difference in a stocker v6. big difference when you try to step up the the 4.6 and do that. the fastest 2v's on stock bottom ends are just making it into the 10's. and there are only a hand full that are doing that. i have seen cars go that fast with a 50/50 mix. they are making a lot more power and dont need the strait methonal. how is you v6 car 3780??? i am a fully dressed v8 and weigh an estimated 3400+, that # is probably closer to 3500. i know about the methanol injection as well, not a new thing to me. you want to mention my car and only 12's, look at my garage. for power parts i dont have much. with a 125 and contentions to break 12 n/a and 11's on juice that is doing damn good. my times has never had anything to do with this. there was no reason to to even bring my times into this.
