It all depends on the road surface and horsepower. I ran 26x8.5 slicks on one of my lower horsepower cars on the street daily. On asphalt and groved concrete roads in the rain the car ran down the road nice. On sealed concrete roads it was a game of slip and slide in the rain. My black car made a considerable amount more horsepower and in the rain it was like being on ice no matter what the road surface was or how hard you stepped on the gas pedal.

ET streets are basically a slick with razor blade straight lines in it to call it a "tread"

the tred compound is a little different too. the e.t. streets are made of a little harder compound.

Depends on the size of the slick. All ET Streets use an M5 compound which is also a common compound for M/T slicks.

yup, but the et drags have softer options as well. i am still havin traction issues with my car, and that was one of the things that tech brought up.

Slicks are pretty dangerous, ive seen a handful of people drive their car directly into the wall at the drags because the launch couldn't be handled with the slicks gripping power.
The only reason I would even consider getting slicks is if I had an old car because slicks aleviate the suspension compared to drag radials. I would never use slicks on s197s though, Radials work just fine for them. |

Slicks don't kill cars people kill cars. If you can't handle the launch on slicks you don't need that much power
