No more strip

In my town there is an 1/8th track in the fairgrounds. They started tearing it up after the end of the season last year so they could move it back and add another 250ft for braking so we can bring in faster cars. Well now a couple of local rich dicks have offered to buy the property and provide another property for the fairgrounds. However, there are no plans to keep the dragstrip or the circle dirt track in the new plans. Theres a good chance my strip is going to be a strip mall soon instead of a drag strip. I'm fuckin pissed

Thats BS, we had a similar situation happen here with a dirt track. If anyone knows PA dirt track racing it's taken pretty seriously around here. The outlaws are brought in about 10 minutes up the road from me to Williams Grove speedway. They tore up another dirt track in this area that provided some of the greatest racing i've ever seen for 51 seasons, they put a target in it's place.

lol i wasn't bornyet but there used to be a nice little 1/4 mile dragstrip near me back in the early 70s and they tore it down in the late 80s... my dad said he used to take his Camaro there and drag it everyonce and a while... wish it was still there it was only like 15 min drive from my house he said

think it was called national Grand raceway in the california in irvine i think might be wrong tho

That screams for thsoe "Legal" drag racers to start heading out of town and doing "Illegal" racing!

Sounds like a good way for police in your area to make money!
