Launching out of the groove doesnt really make since. the groove is were your rubber is! also that is the hottest part of the track. If you launch out the the groove with a trans brake your gona go for a wild ride.

Bypassing the power steering is worth a tenth.
Removing the spoiler helps on many cars as well.
Run the highest pressure you can in your slicks and still hook.

Including jacking up the car and setting the jack stands, it takes about 1/2 hour to take the sway bar off. Two bolts to take the ends out of the control arm and four bolts to take the mounts off the chassis.

I've had mine off for a couple of weeks because it was squeaking and I can tell a big difference in weight transfer.
