My new times

Ok guys im not really one to ask this kind of question, but its more of a game than anything. right now im getting the bugs worked out of my car, and finnishing up the rear end, and I plan on heading to the strip on the 31st, and I want to know what to shoot for in the 1/4mile with my new mods; I don't need exacts, I just want a ballpark estimate of where I should be running, thanks.

My best run when still stockish, with just a mid pipe/exhaust, and short throw shifter, was a 14.60 I now have:

Screamin demon coilpacks/livewires
aluminum flywheel
aluminum driveshaft
and 4.10 gears

what do you guys think?

I'd say you guys are probly right, im just hoping to break into the 13s, if I have time I can install my new suspension setup, but im not sure if thats going to get done by the end of this month. That set up includes:

steeda springs
tokico adjustable shocks
steeda upper/lower control arms
steeda c/c plates

hopefully that will allow me to hook up well enough to pop off some 13 second runs.

youre probably gonna have a harder time not spinning too much on launch with the 4.10 setup.

good luck and let us know how it goes.

ok well things haven't gone quite according to plan, it turns out that the spec clutch I installed was bad, so I sent it back, and they sent me a new one, which turned out to be the wrong one, and it didn't fit my car, when they finnally sent me the right one, my 02 sensors went, and I finnally got the car running right, but now I have to go easy on her for a few hundred miles. so I'll get some new times as soon as I break in the clutch and rear end in.

on the clutch break in dont worry about driving so far, just get in lots of heat cycles. go drive it till it gets to operating temp, then let it cool a few hours, then drive again and do it and get as many cycles as you can. thats more important than miles. also dont slip it at all whiebreaking in, but heat cycles is how you break in a clutch

I was able to drop my 60' times by 4 tenths with 4.10 gears. Other factors may have come into play. Better tires and a little more practice. I think if you are not too agresive with your launch you will see and improvement with your 4.10s.

what about the rear end? It was completely rebuilt, not just the gears?
