8.8 rearend.

How much can it handle? When do most start to break? Is it worth it to replace after breaking the stock one or beef up before you break the stock one?

I got a 13.3 car on the stock rearend. A 4.10 will be going in next week. Im looking at doing 5K launches on a MT ET street drag tire on a 16in or 15in race rim (can't remember what size it is).

I have 87,XXX miles on the car

you can break a stock 8.8 with just drag radials.

I would invest in a 31 spline set up.

if your getting gears I would just do everything at the same time.. axles have to come out anyway.. might as well do it once the correct way.

I dont know much about rear ends as you can tell. Would the axles be the only thing i'd want to replace?

i'd build it...v6 on the juice with slicks broke her running a 13.0
with drags and with ET's which is like right next to a slick i'd say once you hit 12s your in the danger zone
