My turn at the strip

Well I finally got a chance to go to the track with my new found HP. I just made it there in time for 1 time trial before they went to bracket racing. i pulled off the street into the lanes and lined up without even shutting the car off and I managed to run 12.6 at 117.04 with a 2.14 60' time.
The next pass was 1/2 later in eliminations so the car could cool down some. I ended up dialing in at 12.4 so not to break out and have a chance. The track held pretty good for my stock tires in first and second. Once I launched Iended up flying past the car I was racing (it was fun crushing that Z-28) towards the end but soon forgot I was bracket racing and I saw the winner bulb light up in his lane. I must of broken out and when I got my timeslip it read: 12.2 @ 117.25 with a 1.99 60'.
I was/am very happy for this time onmy stock tires and no power shifting. The clutch did okay with no chirps from 2 to 3 only some slip and the same for 3 to 4. The jury is out whether I will return with a good tire or not but I'm thinking not for awhile anyways. Whatcha think??????????? Whipple ftw

good times. pretty good 60 also with the stockers on. sucks about breaking out though
