Driving thru the waterbox on street radials.

I know that it is not a good idea to drive thru the waterbox on street radials, but I am wondering how much does hurt your 60' and ET? The last two times at the 1/8 mile track, I have driven thru the waterbox, but the entire width of the lane is sprayed, so I have no choice but to.

just go through and then rev the motor and drop the clutch and just go till they stop spinning. that will clear the water out of the treads, and will not burn them enough to gum up the tires to make them not stick. dont do a buig smokey burnout with street tires

I think so. At Barona, the working the lanes will singal when to stop and when to do start the burnout.

i always roll through the water, spin the tires in the water and roll out where its dry and then do your burnout. you dont want to sit in the water or your cancelling yourself out
