Just got back.

Did three runs..starting to really try and pratice "feathering" the clucth. Went thro the water pit just dumped the clutch and let the tires spin till they caught. Each time i took it to about 2000-2500. Got my 60 to 2.0 and no matter what i traped 77-78. ran a 9.2, 9.1 than a 8.9. Can i expect a couple more tenths by getting my 60 down to like 1.9-1.8. It seems to me that my car isnt improving trap speed so i think that if i get the 60ft down like i said that i can only maybe get the ET to like 8.8 maybe 8.7??

I have BFG DRs which are EXTREMLY low on tred..dont know if that even matters..i didnt spin at all on taking off.

Im going to have my UDP installed nest time i go and try taking off the sway bar to see if that will get my times lower. Just trying to bust into mid 8s before i do the headers and gears.

Actually i was more curious about my trap speed. It stays the same even tho i have been improving on my 60ft. I trap 77-78 so can i expect lower et time with a better 60ft?? Trying to over anaylize it i think....

i know what you mean and lately have had the same question. I ran a 12.65 with a 60 of 1.929 with a trap of 112 and then on a different day i ran a 12.79 with a trap of 110 and a 60 of 1.82 so i improved my 60 by a 1/10 and yet ran a slower quarter and trap. Dont know if it was the weather. the slower time it was a 85 degrees and humid out where the faster run it was like 64 degrees out.

This is from the sitcky. Thought i bump this in here for anyone else wondering on 60s..now to find out about the trap speed = to ETs..

60 FT Numbers are your most critical Tunning info.Every tenth in the 60ft will yield 2 tenths in the Quarter.Try and get your 60ft,s down. Most are around 2.0 with stock tires.1.5,s is what we are trying to get into or past.
