My first 13-second runSo, here is what happens when you follow White99's advice and try it out- for the first time. You drop .5 second off your 1/4 time and .3 off your 60' :) |

Definitely didn't feel much different than any 14-second run I've done. Powershifted and had a good burnout, and still didn't feel much different. Didnt' even think I got a 13-second e.t.

The things I did differently from before was the longer burnout, launching at a higher RPM, and powershifting.

Funny you mention that! I had the stock tune on this run- I actually think I'm making more power with the stock tune than the American Muscle one. Usually, with the tune, I shift right around 6000, but I actually bounced off the rev limiter (6250 rpm) in first gear and ran out of gear before the end of the track. Had I raised the limiter, I'm sure 13.7-13.8 would have been there. It's probably a little high to shift at, but winding out third is usually the routine in the 1/4.

Alright, i'm gonna try out a couple diff shift points tommorw and let everyone know. It's my first trip to the track since the solid upper and lower control arms, maxspeed springs, O/R X and shifter...which all have been done in the last 2 weeks haha

Thanks to all. Also, I found a lot of weight transfer with the sway bar removal (very good!). Plus, it's a twenty-minute job if you have a buddy helping you out. I don't even think I'm gonna put it back in...
