My First Time At The Track

i thought i already posted this but its late anyways tonight was my first time at the track. i run a stock 2000 v6 stang. dont laugh at my rt. it will be better next time. i got to race once but then a c6 wrecked and i was next in line so they had to clean it up and i had to leave anyways.

1.31 RT
2.44 60 ft
6.72 330ft
10.34 1/8 ET
67.15 1/8 MPH

i wouldve raced someone but some car in the lane next to me wouldnt start so he had to back out.
i only raced once because i was going up against my friend in his 2001 GT that runs a flat 9 and a c6 that he had beaten earlier wrecked so they had to clean the track and it was already getting late.

also you can hear my second gear grinding in the video. when i accelerate fast it grinds... not sure why but ya im gonna sell it and get a 5.0 soon

Thats not really a bad time from what I have seen for your first time out at the track...

Get more seat time and your times will drop...

ya that and with anything my reaction times are slow my friend said to let off the clutch as soon as i see the last yellow light to compensate with my slow reactions. but that c6 wrecked when me and my friend were going up to race. whole assend was screwed up. feel sorry for the guy but he was an asshole. wouldnt tell my friend who beat him what time he ran and then my friend rachel told him good run on another race that he won and the guy said ya w/e what do you expect i have a corvette and she was saying in her mind what a douche i hope he wrecks.... next race boom right into the wall.

Reaction times have nothing to do with your ET's...

Reaction time only matters if you are racing someone to the light...

Your 60' time is what needs work...

not bad for first time fairly stock. my times got better by 2 tenths on my auto just from track time. get about 20 runs under your belt and get the hang of it, then you will see where you should be...

i did no know that. my friend in his gt that ran a 9 his 60ft time was like 2.2 or something. he just put 3.73 in. probably still getting used to launching.

ya ab i would like to get that many but i know ill burn up my clutch it only has like 1000 miles on it but its oem replacement. i thought it was slipping last night but after it cooled down it was fine. the only thing on my car that isnt stock are the brembo brakes and rotors and K&N filter and tommorow a sewer pipe CAI haha just for giggles and shits. and hopefully it will be nice who knows.

i was in the right lane waiting to race andy(blue gt) and then boom right into the wall, needless to say i didnt get to race him

you can see where he vered off into the other lane. good thing that truck was fast or he might have hit him.

haha ya. never hand a $60k car over to someone who cant drive. you know you cant drive when a c6 loses to a 2001 gt with 3.73 gears, 75mm TB, CAI, and aftermarket intake.... lol what a nub. i would expect them to run better than a 9.0. my friends gt ran 8.9. thats his best

Keep practicing and your times will improve. On a sportman's tree, you need to leave on the last amber light. I cut a .013 R/T last weekend. Sux about the Vette but just because the car has more hp than you doesn't mean you can't beat it as was proven. There were 2 GT500s at the track this weekend. The quickest past they had was a 12.8 @ 108. 2 of the 4 Machs that I went out there with had much better times. They were overpowering their tires and needed some driving lessons badly.
