removing front sway bar?

I have read that this is a great way to improve weight transfer and lose weight up front!!how bad will it effect my daily driving? the car will be on the street more than the track but I want every edge over those Camaros!!lol 373 gears with a 5 speed has no problem boiling the rear tire all through 1st gear!!!!

Bolt on a set of MT Drag radials or ET Streets and spank away on those pesky GMs.

Removing the front sway bar is fine on the street as long as your willing to give up your handling. Under normal speeds it will handle fine but if you like going fast thru curves and such on back country roads you will wish you never took it off. I've taken the front sway bar off of every Mustang I've owned and drove across the U.S. that way and never missed it but I don't pretend I'm running the Indy 500 either.

Removing it isn't really meant for saving weight. It is more for weight transfer from the front to rear. I'm no expert on this, but I think it's easy enough to take off at the track, and put back on before you leave.

The weight isn't the issue. The sway bar ties the control arms to the frame to control body roll and severly limits suspension travel in the process. Removing it will increase weight transfer noticeably.

Well if you increase weight transfer from the front of the car to the back then you will be able to launch harder and stay in the gas harder. Your gonna have better traction because of the extra weight on the rear tires, and an easier push forward because of the less weight on the nose of the car.

I have removed my swaybar w/out any problems, but I was wondering if it will cause alignment issues or tire wear?

I have had mine off for more than a year. It does have a bit more roll but I don't run auto x or road race my car. In addition, I have lowered it so I didn't notice it as much.
