Have you ever heard the myth that a 750 is too big a carb for a stock 5.0. Well I am hear to tell you that I gained 3 tenths with a 750.

Plus .... When I was at the track someone gave me a 780 out of 69 Camaro with a 396. After some tuning of the carb I gained 3 tenths again. My best time with this carb so far is 13.79 at 98.99mph.

I have mild cam and Mac Headers and exhaust, with flat top pistons.

I put and 10.5 power valve in it and the lightest spring you can get for the secondary vacuum. I made it a little richer because when I pulled a plug after the run it was as white as the driven snow.

When driving on the street I can watch the gas gauge go down but at the track it is about perfect.
