Last track day of the season...

The last event up here was a street-legal race day, heads-up run what ya brung. Got my best time of 12.3 at 113, 1.8 60'. Once again, traction wasn't the greatest, but fun anyways. 11 passes and the only car I lost to was a GNX on 25# of boost, but by a fender (-0.100 at the stripe). Couple hot SRTs, Cobalts, Corvettes, a Hemi Ram, a CAI and tune S-197 and a (Dodge) Shelby CS on 18# of boost (that was a close one too, 12.7 to my 12.6). Out of probably 100 cars that showed up, there were only 5 that ran faster times than me...and two of those were running 8's. One was a Supra that blew the engine all over the track at the end of the day, the other was a 96-98 Cobra convertible. All in all a great day. Would have loved to see maybe a 1.6 60', but if I launched above 3K I blew the tires off. Best part about the day was watching everyone put their cars back on the trailer to tow them home as the wife and I packed our 12' sunshade with netting, 4 folding chairs, blankets, all my tools and spare parts, helmet and diaper bag in the trunk, one month old in the baby seat in the back, and made the 1 1/2 hour drive home in the same car and on the same tires that I ran hard all day. Next season: mid 11s...

Nice times. Sux to be you though in the great white north. We have a shoot-out scheduled for November 1st. The track is actually closed December and January and reopens in February.

That's cool you get a couple more weekends...even during the summer I'm lucky to get down there once. Wish I could do it every weekend, my times would be a lot better on my current setup. Oh well...
