went to the strip on the street tires. Forgot my helmet.

First run was a 2.45 60 and 13.30. got my act together for the second run and did a 2.15 60 ran a 12.8. new best on street tires. im real happy about that. if i can get the 60s down to the 1.97s i was doing before on these tires i might be hitting some 12.5s on street tires and ill be really happy about that. they told me i couldnt run anymore after that with no helmet.

Also got my first compliments since the new cams when i was putting air in the tires. guy came over and said its sounds amazing are those hot rod cams. LOL i said no but thanks so he ask if he took a vid of it idling. Then i went to the hot rod hangout since it was an early night. had a group makeing over the sound of it.

Then this kid comes over and ask will i race this GTI or a 08 stang gt. Im like i dont feel like racing tell them i got 389 to the wheels, heads, cams every bolt on and suspension mod you can think of. He comes backs and says the gtI said nevermind but the stang wants to race. I said whats he have done to it, he says cai and axle backs. Im like alright. me, him and like 10 cars go to the spot, long story short im not going to beat up on a stang with a bunch of little ricers watching, i let him hang at my bumper three times so im sure he has a story to tell.

anyway its good to enjoy the fruits of the money and work. had a good night.

any of you stang bangers gonna be in ocean city maryland this weekend for the end of summer hot rod thing. if so look me up.

at the stip? nothing really just seeing what the new mods did. im happy with 12.8s on street tires. i could have got it lower on the next run.

We have three goals when racing

1 safety first
2 have fun
3 ETs

We had lots of fun tonight...no records broken but had a blast and when the car can drive back onto the trailer under its own power...it's always a good evening

hey he is like 17, first car, new stang you know. Plus like i said, a bunch of ricers watching. if that gti would have raced it would have been a different story.

they didnt let me keep racing after the 12.8 they make you wear a helment anything under 12.99.

I raced that kid on the street not at that track.

the kid in the stang was funny. actually i saw that kid before. Me and my girl went to mcdonalds the other night. she wanted a hot fudge sunday at like 10 at night for whatever reason. anyway two stangs were in the parking lot that kids stang was one of them its red with the 18 chrome bullits from the factory and it has bassani axle backs with hood pins, (i know what bassani tips look like). Those kids litterally jumped out of their seats and ran out side looking at my car when i pulled into the drive in. my girl was laughing. then they got in their cars and pulled out of mcdonalds into the parking lot of the business next door. she is like why dont they just come talk to you. LOL i said they dont want to talk, you know what they want. so they sit there until i pull out and then peel out behind me. we come to the a light and he is like nice car, but then i turned. So he finally got the run he wanted.

All those kids know my car anyway the kid that ask me to race has talked to me before. When i said tell him its 389 to the wheels he said i thought it was 350. He tried to get me to race his freind in a wrx before but i always say no. that kid thinks his wrx can run 11.9s though he never had it at the track. i said hey if you can run 11.9s you can beat me. I usually dont like raceing around that area, cops are crazy and with all those kids hanging out last night they are just waiting somewhere i know. but i couldnt turned the new stangbanger down last night.

We use the MSD 2 step. Car is used for bracket racing where consistency is everything. 1/100 second makes or breaks

No 2 step, no slicks. What i can do in my manual is what i can do. its all driver. 11s are a goal but i dont want a drag car. Drag racing gets addicting but at this point the car is done and if i hit the 11s i hit it, if not, i still love with my car now. The heads and cams have made the car so throaty even with the x pipe. i cant imagine how deep and throaty it will be with an h pipe. got all the rattles and squeeks out of it. just have the noise from probably the tob and ill have that straight next week.
