how to launch on an auto?

how to launch on an auto?


Do you guys launch with the OD on or off? Im going to the track and i want to do it right!! also, im on street tires and what rpms are optimun for a good launch?

overdrive off for sure. just load the converter at the line and give here hell. its best just to also leave it in drive. I have raced shifting and leaving it in drive several times. best times always in drive letting the computer do the work. get a trans cooler if you dont have one heat is what kills autos.

seeing your supercharged your going to be hard pressed to hook up on street tires? what gears you running ? you should run low 12"s if you can get it to hook.

o/d off, in drive & bring it just off idle (about 900 ish rpm's) if you try to hold the rpm's up too high while your trying to footbrake stall on our car's the computer starts to pull timing out.

I have stock gears. About the trans cooler, i have no idea where i can buy it or how to install it.
