06 GT, Mid 12's, About $1500 spent - Videos

Went to Houston Raceway park last night in search of 12's. My goal was a 12.85. The temp was 50*, and the pressure was about 30.10, and my weight was 3650 lbs. I have NO suspention mods.
Lots of nice cars from this site were there, cool guys too.

JLT + Bamachips Tune - $550
Summitracing UDP - $150
OBX LT + O/R H - $480

Total - $1180

DR - $500

Grand Total - $1680

First run was a 12.83 at 107.97! 1.896 60ft, bogged launch, shifted at 6000 rpm. Ran a mean "Hemi" ram.

Second run, 12.94 at 107.78, 2.017 60ft, bogged launch shifted at 6500 rpm.

Third run, 12.684 at 107.77!! 1.852 60ft, shifted at 6500 rpm, at the launch I reved up higher than I wanted so had to let off then the light went green as I was rereving to my launch rpm, so if I didn't feel rushed I could have done better. Ran against an auto S197 with a Superchips, 4.10's and 100 octane.

Fourth run, 12.71 at 107.65, 1.875 60ft, shifted at 6500 rpm. The black S197 I ran had a nonintercooled Paxton blower.

LCA's and perfect weather the hello 12.5 with basic mods!!!!!!!! What do ya'll think!?

Thanks!

It also looks like I picked up 1 mph from the last time out. It was 75*F and humid as hell, cool air helps out alot! I also improved my 60ft by .1 compaired to last trip.

btw.. in that last run it looked like you did your burnout in the water box... if you will spin your tires over then pull forward and do a burnout it will be a little more beneficial... when you do a burnout in the waterbox it slings water everywhere and drips back down on your tires when you roll out of it... just some fyi

Congrats on the nice times!!!! I started heating the tires in the waterbox and then rolling out due to wheel hop. If I wet them and try to burnout further up on the track it sounds like my rear end is going to come out. I need suspension badly.

Seems alot of people say the same thing about the Nittos, they have stuck like glue for the 8 passes I have made on them. On the street I get some spin, but nothing like street tires, more of a chirp. Also you have to take in consideration I make 300 wtq (+-10), and you are making 165 more at the wheels than me. I should be blown next year so I will see if I end up with the same problem.
