Hate to admit this...

Again, I am emberassed to admit this, but I took my 1998 GT to the track and I couldnt get it under a 16 sec run due to no traction (and that I obviously have NO experience with this car). My friend ran it to a 15 flat. My mods are under post. Is that where it should be?

Seems like you should at least be able to get it into high 14s, probably low 14s with the nitrous.

What tires are you running? How much pressure?

wow even 15 flat doesn't sound right....was the car running well that day ? and if you're in MO i'm sure you weren't at sea level so that could have some bearing on it. i would think at least 14.50's

That sounds about right for a non-pi car in mo.At best i'd say a 14.8 with traction.

that sucks i've raced an 03 GTS Eclipse a friend of mine has one but she wasn't the best driver she let another one of our friends drive it and race me in it..and i out ran him from a stop up to about 70 by about 3 cars, and from 20 mph roll i let off at 110 and was a tractor trailer length ahead of him.

just need some more seat time...a 15.0 sounds right with no traction, and uknown weather and elevation...could probably be brought down a few tenths

1. a 98 and a 95 mustang have different engines...
2. someone driving a car that isnt theirs is not going to yield the best times... period...
3. was the eclipse an automatic?
4. i would say you drive the eclipse and let whoever drove it drive yours... and see what happens... or let two completely different people drive them... it doesnt speak justice for that car at all to run you... the owner... of the car

1. i'm well aware of that however they are simliar in power, which was my point.
2. i think this point was already proven wrong in the original post when his friend knocked a second off his time.
3. no it was not an automatic
4. we did switch drivers and i drove the eclipse which i'd never even drove and he drove my car which he hadn't drove. and he actually beat me worse than i beat him in the first race
