4.10 vs 3.73 is there really that big of a power difference?


i want a 4.10 but a lot of people are telling me that i shouldnt get that, so i was thinkin 3.73 or 3.77. is there really that big of a difference between a 4.10 and a 3.73?? and im not worried about gas mileage or anything like that. i just wanna know about the power diff. thanks

if your not worried about gas get 4.10s
they're is a difference

if i get 4.10s and a tlok is my car going to be prone to spinning in wet weather or in low gear around a turn?

by spinning i dont mean tires i meant like sliding and me losing control.

i am pretty sure both would cause your wheels to spin like that.. just get which ones you prefer the 4.10s will be faster just harder on gas.. i doubt its all that noticable tho

intake and tuner and u got the mpg back if not more i get my T-Lok and 4.10:1's put on Monday im so excited

oh ands BTW if uu get 4.10's better get some good tires cause u'll burn rubber like a biacth off the line!!!

get 4.10 with t-lok. huge difference. Gas milage is fine im gettin 22 when i drive good lol

no. t-lok opens up in corners because it is a clutch-packed locker that only locks in straight lines. you will spin the same as an open diff, but any mustang will spin in wet roads.

get 4.10s though.

4.10s unless you do a ton of highway driving. That is what I have always heard. If you plan on adding a S/C, go with the 3.73s. The 4.10s will be a little too low for the added power of a S/C.

Fuel mileage differences will barely be noticeable either way.

As far as wet weather performace, all Mustangs suck/rock (depending on how you look at it ) in the rain. A lower gear will get the tires up to speed faster, which in turn, will cause them to spin quicker when wet. Its not catastrophic though, just learn to get used to the difference in torque feeling and dont drive stupid in the rain and you'll be fine!
