We need more desciptive information. Is it while going over bumps? While braking? While accelerating? Is it constant? Does it happen only when the car is cold, warmed up, or all the time?

how can u be sure its the break cable? the only possible;e way that will squeak is if its rubbing. it sounds more like warped rotors seized caliper pins, bad pads or a bad bearing.

So are you saying you think the parking brake cable is not fully releasing and is causing the brakes to squeak?

It's also possible if it worsens over bumps that it is worn out shocks or dried out suspension bushings.

i took it to a ford dealer awhile ago and he told me it happens with mustangs around that year. I do have a warped rotor but he said it just needs to be lubed every once in awhile. Its just rubbing.

Rotors don't get lubed. They spin in bearings that are pre-packed with grease on a spindle when the unit is assembled. Calipers get some lube on their sliders, but rotors do not receive lubrication as maintenance. Only Juggs mouth receives such lube.

It is possible to lube a parking brake cable. Use WD40 or some other similar lubricunt. If the cable is too far rusted though, you will need to replace teh cable.

i stand corrected. but it wouldn't make a squeek noise unless its engaging the breaks. or it was rubbing.

then u need your breaks serviced. lube the caliper pins check the pads for un even wear and make sure they still have pad left. and make sure ur calipers return freely. and your rotors arnt out of spec or warped.
