Which gears are FRPP?

Sorry guys, I searched and couldn't find the post that states which FRPP gears are made by Motive. It had something to do with the letter prefix before the model # or something. Can someone help a brother out?

the motives have the letter M before the stock number. the ones i got were Motive.
the stock number looks like this: M 4209 F373N
that's for FRPP 3.73's, manufactured by Motive. they're not as bad as some people make the out to be. i got mine installed in January, and there's no noise at all. it really depends on who you have install them

How about this, just buy a set of Richmond gears.

What you heard is wrong. All I use is Richmond and I've never had a set whine. Noise is directly related to the installer. Besides, Richmond makes alot of gear sets for Ford.

that's what i tell people when they say that Motive gears suck. maybe since it's coming from a guru like Darrell, people might start to listen

Yeah, I just want the cheapest available, but according to most forums on the interweb, there are a lot of reported cases of whining with motive, a few with richmonds, and very very few with frpp. I'm not arguing my point, just a collection of other peoples experiences.

I wouldn't be looking for the cheapest available. If you need to find the cheapest available then you need a new hobby. Cheap and reliable usually don't go together.

Yeah, as I originally stated I want to make sure I have non-Motive FRPP's, but if you're saying Richmonds are just as quiet I will go with whatever is the cheapest between the two.
