may be a little late being that this is almost 2 weeks old, but have you tried just changing out the tranny oil? I had a problem with mine when i first got it and changed it out an put mobil 1 synthetic atf in there and it took it right away.
and yes i said atf as in automatic tranny fluid... otherwise synchros are pricey...
