99 GT SOHC to DOHC

I was thinking of going with the DOHC heads for my GT, if I do this will have to get a Cobra computer or anything? What are the different things that I would have to get in order for this type of mod to work right?

You need to splice in the 4 Valve maf and 4 Valve injectors into the harness you have now...

Then you need to have a chip burned for your GT computer with a 4 Valve tune on it...

Then from what I have heard/seen that is it...

I think you could use the 99-01 Cobra stuff...Maybe the Mach 1 Stuff (dont see why you couldn't)...I am not sure if you can use the parts from an 03/04 Cobra but you should be able to...

Hope this helps...

you will also have to have your block drilled and tapped, becasue the timing components on the 4v motor are different from the 2v motor. it will be more cost effective to buy a cobra motor. but you can amke a shit ton more power with the 4v. but then again if you dont plan on making more than 500 hp i wouldnt do it
