How To: Fix VVME HIDs High/Low Beams

Many people on the forum have HIDs from VVME. The bi-xenon kits are CHEAP (~$100), bright, and allows you to keep both the high and low beams w/ true HIDs. The only problem is that the high and low beams are sometimes swapped.

So many people have/had this problem that I'm doing a write up. Maybe the mods will make it a sticky so others can find it easy.

When the signal plug comes out of the package, the wires may look like this (sorry I don't have a good picture; mine has been changed so I can't take a picture).

Notice that the order is brown, white, blue. None of these wires are in the correct location. Yeah, that's what you get for ordering Chinese.

The first step is to pull the pins out of the plug. To do this you need to push a small prong back into the pin. Once this is done, you can pull on the wire and the pin will come out. See below for a picture of a pin:

Pin Top (prong circled):

Pin Side (prong circled):

Once all the pins are out, take the tip of a knife (or something else thin) and bend the prong back out (like seen in the picture above). Then, push the pins back into the plug. The wires should be blue, brown, white. See below for correct wire order in plug.

That's it, you're done. Now the low beams should be low beams and the high beams should be high beams. Here's some pictures of the high and low beam difference.

Low Beams (6000k):

High Beams (6000k):

You don't have to do this. I usually install them as they come just so I'm sure they are backwards. But, I've heard that some people get them wired correctly (w/ all the installs I've done, I've never been so lucky). If you wire them up and they are backwards, it only takes 2 minutes to fix.

I believe any of the 800 bulbs will work as fog lights. I don't have HID fogs and have never done them so I'm not 100% sure. Other people on here have done it so try searching?

yes, they do. Just order a set of HID 893 bulbs. You may want to consider the slim kit as the ballasts are smaller and probably easier to mount.

I just ordered my set of 15k (purple) HIDs for my 4'' round fogs (2000 cobra R bumper on 2004 Mustang)

I just put in 8k lights and they are normal colored lights, but when I turn on my bright lights they turn to 8k? How do I solve that.

Are they VVME HIDs? Do you have a halogen and HID bulb per side? Or is the HID on a servo that moves it?

VVME HIDs are true bi-xenon kits. It doesn't sound like you bought a VVME kit.

VVME HIDs are true bi-xenon kits. It doesn't sound like you bought a VVME kit.
maybe he took some pictures from others as he mentioned above....

the VVME Hi/Low HID KIT is one beam for hid and one beam for halogen....most time when people install hi/low hid kit, they often reverse the hi and low beam wire.... so that is why after installation, the lights cant work .....

VVME does not only have bi-xenon kits, and single beam and hi/low beam.. as for whether he bought vvme kit or not i am not so sure....

but i bought bi-xenon hid kit from VVME website ( one of friend recommend to me ,he once bought 2 sets hid kits from VVME) last year, that is H4 digital bi-xenon hid kit that still works well now.....
