Alternator upgrade?

ok guys first off how many amps is my stock alternator producing on my 01 gt? now i have a jvc deck with a 500 watt rms alpine amp wired at 2 ohms to my infinity perfect sub it is putting too much drain on my electrical system, i do have a cap and yes i know its pointless i just like it for looks but i know thats not supposed to fix the problem all it does is store the voltage i already have produced by alt. but i think the main reason my system is having problems getting enough power is b/c i have the steed underdrive pullies and i know they cut down on free electrical power. i was lookin on american muscle and see they now have a 130 amp alternator 70 amps at idol, i was wondering if this was a big enough upgraded alternator to fix my problem, i also plan on upgrading my big 3 this summer as well

Put the stock pullies back on.... Underdrives don't help that much.

i would start by upgrading the big 3 first since it is inexpensive then try with another alternator if worse comes to worse.

First thing is you have it underdriven..... Ask around I'm sure someone has a stock set laying around.

could i get away with just putting the stock alternator pulley back on or do i have to put all 3 pulleys back on? the only one i trashed was the crank pulley i still have the waterpump and alt. pulleys

The stock alt pulley is probably larger and it will cause your problem to get even worse.

if you cant get the stockers back u could raise your idle a tad... might be the easiest way to fix that if in fact that alternator being underdriven is the problem
