Background on AVH-p3100


I can't set a background off my flash drive or CD i saved the picture to. it just won't show the picture no matter how i try to. help!

My brother had the same problem.. We couldn't figure out how to put the picture from an outside device on either

hm...ill let you know what happens when i try on my 4100...im sure that everything in this situation is the same as a 3100

Should be about the same process. It sucks i want a different background lol. I can't get the stupid picture to show up its so annoying.

I think the file on your flash drive has to be a certain extension. Hold on.

That's wonderful lefty but my pictures don't show up lol. i read that in my instruction manual. i just get a little thing that says the file name and i click it and nothing happens. even when i go to list it out and click it, nothing happens. when i plug in the USB or put in the CD, nothing happens. i can't get the picture to show.

Are you making a specific JPEG cd?

I took a blank CD and put JUST my picture on it.

Basically make a jped cd on a DVD. DVD is the key word. Then play that in your car, follow the instructions in the manual, etc.

The HU needs to read it as a DVD and display the JPEG. Then you can freeze frame, etc.

I dunno if you can. You should be able too...but I think it needs to be on a DVD for it to read it so you can 'freeze frame' it. I'll look into it.

got it for some reason i had a background set and you have to turn background off to watch videos and see picture slideshows.
